Our Junior Jiu-Jitsu program is designed to improve coordination and balance, increase confidence, get in shape, and build mental discipline through hard work and achievement of goals.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a form of self defense that focuses on submission rather than punching and kicking. Students are taught how to subdue a bully, remain unharmed, to get an adult involved, or find a safe place. This goes along with the guidelines and rules in the school systems. So students in this program learn to defend themselves without injuring others or act in a manner that would cause disciplanary action.
Children ages 5 and up are generally accepted into FMXMA. Younger children may enroll with approval of the head Instructor
